This special two-day celebration at the Book Nook highlights the renewal of spring with an inspiring mix of art, literature, and community connection. At the heart of this event, local artist Dorie Smith will showcase and sell her original floral watercolor paintings and note cards. These one-of-a-kind pieces capture the vibrancy of spring and offer a perfect way to bring nature’s beauty indoors. Complementing Smith’s artwork, the Book Nook will feature a selection of gardening and flower-themed books for sale, while the Library hosts its pop-up Seed Library, offering free flower and vegetable seeds for the taking. As part of a thoughtful collaboration with Jackson Hole Writers, the event will also include an exhibit of themed, curated poetry. The poems will be beautifully displayed alongside delicate origami flowers by artist Gwen Mann, inviting visitors to reflect on the season. This event marks the culmination of National Library Week, reminding the community that the Library is more than a place to borrow books—it is a vibrant cultural hub, a creative space, and a gathering place where ideas, art, and voices come together. The Spring Blooms Event is free and open to all. All sales support the Teton County Library Foundation & Friends in enhancing and sustaining library programs and services, and resources. Cash, checks, & Venmo are accepted. Credit card processing is not available.
